The Philadelphia Review of Books seeks partners in our quest to publish insightful reviews of new books, extensive essays on a wide range of topics, and short-form commentary on politics and all facets of culture. We’re seeking partnerships with established and fledgling media outlets in the Philadelphia area for joint reporting and investigative opportunities.
Join us as an editor, a frequent correspondent, or pitch a blog idea to associate with the Philadelphia Review of Books. We aim to create a network of local critics and writers who can contribute to and benefit from the success of the Philadelphia Review of Books.
We are currently seeking to fill the following editorial positions:
City Editor – While all of our editors are aiming to contribute stories of local interest, we need someone to focus on Philadelphia-centric stories, covering cultural topics that might not get play in other local outlets.
Sports and Leisure Editor – Yes, this sounds like Trivial Pursuit category, and for good reason. We’d like to expand our coverage of sports and food and lifestyle, but we want to cover these topics in a different way from other local media. When reviewing sports or restaurants or coffee shops, narrative is still the most important element of any piece published in the Philadelphia Review of Books.
Unfortunately, we can not offer pay at this time for any positions.
